Upper NW Wisconsin: We’re closer than you think. Just 2.5 hours from Minneapolis/St Paul

Upper NW Wisconsin: We’re closer than you think.

I’m especially excited about this lesser known northwestern corner of Northwest Wisconsin.  If places like Minong, Wascott, Gordon, Barnes, and Solon Springs aren’t yet on your radar, they should be.  Same with the Minong Flowage, St Croix Lake, and the Eau Claire chain of lakes—and dozens of our smaller lakes that are worth checking out, too.  Let me tell you more.

Several years ago, my husband and I moved here from St Paul, MN.  To be honest, it wasn’t the first place we looked.  Like many, we began our search with the area east of Hayward. But even small homes on small lakes came with bigger price tags.  And, those areas were offering less of the sort of wilderness experience they once did.

When we looked a bit farther northwest, we found just what we’d been craving.  There are lots of great lakes and streams in our neighborhood, too.  There’s less traffic and more elbow room.

But of all the many good reasons to live or vacation in this area, here’s one that might be a little surprising: We’re closer.  This undiscovered corner of northern Wisconsin is an easy 2.5 hours from the north side of Minneapolis/St Paul, MN. That’s quicker than driving from Minneapolis to the Brainerd Lakes area.

To get to my neighborhood, you can head north on I-35, hang a right at Hinckley, and be in Minong before you know it.  From there, you’re almost home.

Please take a moment to explore my website and find out more about this undiscovered northwestern corner of Northwest Wisconsin..  Then drop me a line or give me a call.  I’d be glad to show you what’s available in our neighborhood.
