Bond Lake

This 293-acre lake is located in south-central Douglas County.  It has a shoreline of 3.84 miles, a maximum depth of 67 feet, and Secchi disk readings of around 20 feet.  In it, you’ll find northerns, walleyes, largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, and panfish.  According to the DNR, this deep, clear lake is a trophy northern pike fishery.

The lake isn’t heavily developed, and most homes are set back enough so they’re barely visible from the water.  It’s a relatively quiet lake, and most of its homes are in the middle and upper price ranges.

Leader Lake

This 160-acre lake is located in south-central Douglas County.  It has a maximum depth of 56 feet.  In it, you’ll find northerns, walleyes, largemouth bass, and panfish.  Although the lake is dotted with cabins and lake homes, fishing pressure is relatively light.  The only public access is from walk-in site suitable for canoes or kayaks.
