With a strong October, Wisconsin is likely to show a record sales year. October 2016 sales of existing homes show the strongest 10-month sales since 2005. The median home price rose 6.5% to $165,000 over the past 12 months.
“A strong economy, low interest rates, and affordable housing are a recipe for a strong existing home market,” said WRA President and CEO Michael Theo. Economists consider Wisconsin to be at or near full employment. Housing affordability remains strong in the state.
