Many Americans are out of work because of COVID-19, and that means right now is an especially good time to support your local food pantry. Dropping off canned goods is fine, but monetary donations are even better. They allow food pantries to buy exactly what they need, often at a large discount. What’s more, monetary donations are often matched by other, larger donors.
That means your monetary donations go farther and do more. Plus, it’s easy to mail a check while staying at home to keep yourself and others safe. Here are links or other contact info for food pantries in this corner of northwest Wisconsin. (Links will take you to a page where you can find phone numbers, mailing addresses, and in some cases a way to donate online.) Please give what you can.
