North, South Twin Lakes (Chicog, Wisconsin)

North and South Twin Lakes are located west of Minong, not far from McLain Lake, Nancy Lake, the Kimball Lakes Chain, and the Minong Flowage.  North Twin Lake covers 113 acres and has a shoreline of 2.74 miles and maximum depth of 20 feet, with Secchi disk readings of around 10 feet.  South Twin Lake covers 115 acres and has a shoreline of 2.3 miles and maximum depth of 29 feet, with Secchi disk readings of around 16 feet.  (In between the two lakes, there’s also a small, shallow Middle Lake.)

In both North and South Twin Lakes, you’ll find northerns, walleyes, largemouth bass, and panfish.  There’s a small boat landing on each lake, but traffic is generally light.  Encircling all three lakes, you’ll see a fair number of cabins and homes in a wide range of sizes and prices.
