This 389-acre lake is located about 3 miles west of Minong, in between the Minong Flowage and Pokegama Lake. Gilmore Lake has a shoreline of 7.6 miles, a maximum depth of 36 feet, and a mean depth of 16 feet. In it, you’ll find northerns, walleyes, largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, and panfish. Secchi disk readings are around 16 feet.
As you can see from the aerial, Gilmore Lake has a meandering shoreline with several narrows and bends. With the exception of a marshy area in the lake’s far northeastern corner, most of its shoreline is dotted with cabins and lake homes that are available in a range of sizes and prices. Because most of the buildable shoreline has already been developed, buildable waterfront lots come on the market more rarely.
