This 194 acre lake is located just west of Minong, not far from Nancy Lake and Pokegama Lake. Horseshoe Lake has a shoreline of 5.8 miles and a maximum depth of 21 feet. In it, you’ll find northerns, walleyes, largemouth bass, and panfish.
From the aerial, you can see how Horseshoe Lake got its name. At the bend in the horseshoe, there’s a narrows that connects the east and west basins. Although the eastern part of the lake is slightly larger, both sides are deep enough for good fishing and pontooning. Public access is from a landing at the south end of the east basin.
Most of Horseshoe Lake is ringed with cabins and lake homes that are available in a variety of sizes and price ranges. Many of them have sandy waterfronts that are good for swimming.
