At 3,290 acres, Long Lake is the largest in Washburn County. It’s also one of the deepest. It has a shoreline of 35.6 miles, a maximum depth of 74 feet, a mean depth of 26 feet, and secchi disk readings of around 12 feet.
In Long Lake, you’ll find northerns, walleyes, largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, and panfish. Public access is from several different boat landings, and the lake is also popular with recreational boaters and waterskiers.
On average, Long Lake’s western shore is more heavily developed than its eastern shore. Although some parts of the lake have a relatively remote, up-north sort of feel, much of its shoreline is dotted with lake homes and cabins. Most homes on Long Lake are in the middle to upper price ranges.
