This 1,092-acre lake is located just east of Spooner. It has a shoreline of 11.2 miles, a maximum depth of 17 feet, and a mean depth of 7 feet. In it, you’ll find northerns, walleyes, largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, and panfish. Public access is from three different boat landings.
Some parts of Spooner Lake are shallow, weedy, and better for fishing than for boating or waterskiing. Nonetheless, the lake is fairly popular with waterskiers and jet ski enthusiasts.
Although much of Spooner Lake is dotted with cabins and lake homes available in a variety of sizes and price ranges, it still has a relatively wild, up-north feel—perhaps in part because of its five uninhabited islands, and its large wetland areas that remain undeveloped.
